Hi, I’m Katherine Jones or Elissia as everyone else knows me. I have had an undying love for animals since my childhood. I was raised with a pack of Cocker Spaniels. I am currently the proud parent of Penny, a Miniature Pincher mix, Snowy, a Poodle/Maltese Mix, who are alumni of the Delaware Humane Association and my newest addition is Sofie, a Miniature Pincher.

My personal education includes a High School Diploma from Alexis I. DuPont High School in Wilmington, Delaware where I majored in college-prep courses. I went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Financial Management and a Masters Degree in Business Management at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware.

My Pet Education and Certification include the following:

• Pet First Aid (American Red Cross)
• Pet Care Technician (American Boarding & Kennel Association)
• Basic Canine Trainer for The RAT PAC (Delaware Humane Association)
• Brusher/Groomer (Groom Expo)
• Professional Dog Grooming (All About Dog Grooming Training Program)

I am an on-going supporter of the Humane Society of the United States and of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). I was also a kennel volunteer for the Delaware Humane Association for approximately four years where I learned to work with many different kinds of dogs, which helped increase my dog behavior skills. I have found it to be a wonderful stress reliever and a place where I knew my time and work were always appreciated, not only by the staff, but most of all, by the homeless animals.
